LeBron James wants people to put some respect on his scoring abilities.
During the latest episode of Uninterrupted’s The Shop series, James got candid about not being regarded as one of the league’s best scorers, despite being considered one of the best players in NBA history.
“When they talk about the best scorers of all time, they never mention my name,” James stated to Donald Glover, J. Balvin, Quinta Brunson, and others in The Shop before bluntly expressing, “It pisses me off.”
The 37-year-old Los Angeles Laker shared his scoring method on the court, explaining that he likes to be a team player, confessing that he is not a “natural scorer.”
“I love getting my guys involved. I’ve always been that way,” he shared.
Despite not being a “natural scorer,” James is scoring at his highest rate since 2009–10. Now in his 19th season, James is averaging about 28.8 points per game. He recently blew past NBA icon Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most points scored all-time for regular season and playoffs combined in NBA history.
Though at the top of his game, talks have swirled for months of James’s retirement plans as he nears his 20th season in the league. However, the beloved athlete says he is looking forward to sharing the court with his son, Bronny before he hangs up his jersey for good.
