DaBaby is a free man…for now, at least. The LA County District Attorney decided to reject DaBaby’s gun case from January 2021, which saw the rapper in handcuffs on Rodeo Drive.

Though he was arrested for possessing a firearm, the D.A. said there wasn’t enough evidence.

DaBaby was arrested in January 2021 outside of a Gucci store after a security guard saw the rapper lift up her shirt and saw something “resembling a gun.” The security guard ended up calling the police, where the viral video of him getting arrested outside of Rodeo comes from.

Once police arrived, they searched the vehicle and did find a gun. Based on the security guard’s call, they decided only to arrest DaBaby. However, it wasn’t enough to file charges.

DaBaby’s attorney, Drew Finding, says, “We’ve been 100% confident in Mr. Kirk’s innocence since the day of this incident and are appreciative that the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has m ade a similar determination.”

Though he has beat this case, he still has the case involving DaniLeigh’s brother. The two got into a scuffle at a bowling alley captured on video.
