Omeretta The Great gets candid about her love life and says she’s ready for marriage.
The ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ rapper recently made an appearance On ‘It’s Tricky With Raquel Harper.’ While there, Omeretta spoke about her love life and reveals that’s she engaged. Omeretta’s fiancé, Ta’Byron Smith, is currently serving a 27-year prison sentence for a string of robberies. However, Omeretta says they’ll get married while Smith’s incarcerated and have a ceremony once he’s released.
Harper hints at Omeretta wanting to get hitched while he’s still behind bars for conjugal visits. But she shut down that claim clarifying that those kinds of visits aren’t allowed in federal prison. Harper then asks Omeretta about the idea of having kids and the possibility of freezing them. The ATL native says she doesn’t feel the need to go through the invasive process because Smith is expected to be released early.
Omeretta also opened up about feeling judged by her fans for continuing the relationship with Smith.
“They don’t understand me, so they judge,” she says. “I’ve been knowing him since I was 14 years old, we used to date back then, we never stopped talking to each other. We never lost contact with each other. The first time he got out, we were supposed to be together, and we spent a lot of time together when he came home the first time, but I was still talking to other people, so we didn’t get our real fair chance to be together for real. But we’ve been close for a long time.”
