The mother of Tristan Thompson’s new baby Maralee Nichols wants more than $47,000 a month in child support.
On March 4, 31-year-old Nichols filed paperwork in Los Angeles requesting $47,424 in monthly child support payments from Thompson for their 3-year-old son, Theo.
“With regard to child support, using Tristan’s income of $9.7 million alone and Maralee’s income of $0, Maralee at this time requests guideline monthly child support of $47,424,” the court documents read, according to Us Weekly, who obtained the request. In addition, Us Weekly reports Nichols asked that Thompson be held financially responsible for paying her attorney fees, reportedly more than $1 million.
According to the filing, Thompson’s estimated monthly income is at least $810,075, and she claims her monthly expenses are $22,263 a month. She claims she and the child are living at a far “depressed standard of living than Tristan.”
Nichols, a former personal trainer, says prior to having the baby, she spent more than $2,000 a month going out to eat and “expects these expenses will resume once Theo gets older and COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.” Us Weekly reports Nichols says she spends $3,500 a month on clothes, mentioning that she has made a tremendous effort to reduce my spending. She revealed that her monthly expenses for clothing were in excess of $5,000 a month and says Thompson hasn’t given her any money.
