Well, this is just unkind, a 17-year-old Griffin High School student now faces charges of production and distribution of child pornography after allegedly using the Airdrop feature to share an explicit video of another student in a school lunchroom.
Griffin police told Channel 2 Action News that it is unknown if the video was sent to multiple devices or just one device.
The video is of a 15-year-old student that was made by a 17-year-old classmate. The gender or identity of the students involved has not been
School administrators informed the school’s resource officer that an explicit video had been shared via AirDropped in the lunchroom.
AirDrop is a feature used by Apple that allows users to send photos or videos to other iPhone or iMac devices.
The student is currently being detained at the Spalding County Jail , and the phone that has the original recording was turned over to the police.
