Brandy is in hot water after her former housekeeper accused the singer of age discrimination and wrongful termination.

Elizabeth Juarez, who was hired by the “Vocal Bible” in September 2002, is suing her for allegedly not wanting “an older employee.” Throughout Juarez’s employment, she was paid $125 a day to cook, clean, and do the laundry. Despite 20 years of working for Brandy, she was given her walking papers on February 25th, 2022. Now into her 60s, Juarez is sure that her age was the determining factor. In addition, the former housekeeper claims Brandy didn’t allow her adequate breaks or pay her for the last two days of her employment.

Juarez says the wrongful termination and loss of wages caused her to “suffer, and continue to suffer, from humiliation, anxiety, severe emotional distress, worry, fear.” She is now seeking damages of over $250,000 and has filed a claim under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act.

The “Have You Ever” singer has not publicly responded to the lawsuit. However, her team has stated that they “disagree” with the claims.
