Rapper Chika Tweets About Depression & Claps Back at Twitter User: “THE INTERNET IS NOT WHY THE FUCK I AM DEPRESSED”

On Sunday, rapper Chika revealed on Twitter that she was alive after implying she was on the verge of taking her own life.

In a series of tweets, the rapper initially told her fans that she was okay, “alive and wanna go home,” she wrote.

Monday, the rapper continued to share tweets about depression. She first expressed her frustrations about fans who suggested God was the answer.

“Talking to a depressed person about god is like asking someone with a migraine if they’ve tried Tylenol,” she wrote. Adding that, it’s “patronizing and unhelpful.”

Chika continued, “I’m not trying to be mean or s— on the people who are concerned, but nobody understands how I am feeling,” she tweeted. “there is little solace in the words being sent my way. I just want to go.”

Despite the alarming tweets, many fans attempted to show their support, while others claimed she was doing it all for attention.

“People are going to say ‘stay offline’ or ‘someone check on her’ or ‘take her phone’ and that s— is laughable bc that’s the entire f—ing point. I have no one,” she continued. “I don’t care about being judged right now. this is not a cry for f—ing help.”

She continued, “and to the fucking idiots who think everything is for attention, tell that to the fucking hospital bills I have to pay now. Tell that to the puncture wounds in my arms. Tell that to the meds in my system. you guys are so wrapped up in clout; you think wanting to die marketing.”

In response to a few now-deleted tweets, Chika went in on a Twitter user who suggested that the internet could be the cause of her problems.

“THE INTERNET IS NOT WHY THE FUCK I AM DEPRESSED, YOU DENSE PIECE OF SHIT. I NEVER EVEN ALLUDED TO BEING DEPRESSED BECAUSE OF THE FUCKING INTERNET. STOP THINKING YOU KNOW WHY PEOPLE ARE UPSET. FUCK YOU,” she wrote.

She said, “WHEN THE FUCK DID I SAY SOCIAL MEDIA MADE ME DEPRESSED??? POINT TO IT, PLEASE! I KNOW PEOPLE ASSUME THAT BECAUSE THE INTERNET TREATS ME LIKE SHIT. BUT BELIEVE IT OR NOT, I HAVE A REAL-LIFE THAT IS A LOT HARDER.”
