According to police, a man sexually assaulted a 23-year-old woman at a Brooklyn subway station during the morning commute.
Last Thursday, shortly after 7 a.m., the suspect grabbed the young woman as she proceeded down the stairs at the Prospect Park station toward the Q train southbound platform.
Police say the man then forced the victim against the railings that separated the steps, covered her mouth, ripped her clothes off, and rubbed her breast.
Police say the attack stopped because a person had walked by, causing him to flee.
Despite the encounter, police revealed the victim was unharmed physically.
NYPD released a surveillance image of the suspect inside the station on Tuesday.
Police say he was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, a yellow hooded sweatshirt, and dark-colored pants. He is described as being approximately 6’0″ tall, 155 pounds, with a dark complexion and a slim build.
