Relationships get rocky along the road. Each relationship will go through its many up’s and down’s and your girlfriends will remain by your side during those very highs and lows. A majority of the time, a relationship is already set from the beginning of how it will play out. And things tend to go left because of bad advice. The simplest advice could be given with bad intention which can cause a detour in the relationship. A road that you paved could suddenly come to a halt and head toward destruction. Here is how this happens: Most of the time we need our girlfriends advice because we don’t have anyone else to vent too and we figure that they have been through some of this before so they should know, right? Wrong. Before you know it you’ve got advice coming from every direction. Sure they know you well enough to offer an honest opinion but they only know as much as you tell them. Sometimes our closest girlfriends cant seem to stay out of our love lives so we’re left to spill the tea. I mean really, who else can you call at 2AM to serve up the details? But you never realize that you’re the only one left to deal with the situation because they aren’t the ones involved.
Its safe to say that its not always best to share your relationship troubles with your girls, especially when they don’t have a man or has never once had anything nice to say about the two of you in the first place! Truth of the matter is, the girls want you to themselves, they want the old you back. You’ve missed the weekly lunch dates for two straight months, you haven’t been to ladies night in God knows how long and now you’d rather go shopping with your new mother-in-law. They aren’t feeling the new you at all. No more group chats about your latest rendezvous because you’ve been boo’d up. They don’t know this new person and they want her back. They miss your man-bashing ways and hell, they might even miss the bitter old you. Be careful with the advice you take and most certainly with the advice you let creep into your heart. All advice isn’t good advice. Its hard not to let your girls in on the good and bad news when concerning your relationship. Make it so that they have to pry the information out of you not because you think that they’ll judge you but because you really don’t have time to let the blind lead the blind. You never want to risk losing a friend or losing the man you love behind some bad advice.Live it, learn it and create your own way. Your own advice may just do you some justice this time.
