Donald Trump may have finally accepted that he lost the 2020 presidential election.
In a video published by the Atlantic this week, the former president conceded. The featured footage dates back to last July.
While speaking to a group of historians assembled by Princeton University, professor Julian Zelizer, the one-term president, confirmed what many of us already knew, telling the group of historians, “I didn’t win the election.”
While that admission can be considered progress, Trump still contended that the vote was “rigged and lost,” explaining that China, South Korea, and Iran were glad to see Biden take over.
Trump also shared that negotiations with South Korean President Moon Jae-In regarding the country’s military defense were almost done and said their deal was all set, but “then the election came.”
“We had a deal all set, and then when the election was rigged and lost,” he described, “what happened is that the deal went away.”
Trump also revealed losing his re-election bid was actually a win, saying, “By not winning the election, he was the happiest man.”
