Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are back at it again with another engagement!
J-Lo confirmed the exciting news in her ‘On The JLo’ newsletter. She revealed the news to her inner circle, updating them through an email on Friday evening. The message featured a clip of J-Lo admiring a massive green Diamond on her ring finger. The big reveal comes just days after she was spotted wearing an engagement ring.
That same night, the actress teased her fans on social media with a 30-second video stating she had a “major announcement.” In the clip, J-Lo says, “So I have a really exciting and special story to share…” then directs her followers to visit her website to find out what the surprise is.
Earlier this year, J-Lo shared with PEOPLE the differences between her relationship with Affleck 18 years ago and now.
“We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience,” she says. “We’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things. It’s a beautiful outcome that this has happened in this way. At this time in our lives where we can really appreciate and celebrate each other and respect each other. We always did, but we have even more of an appreciation because we know that life can take you in different directions.”
Lopez and Affleck first dated back in July 2002. Shortly afterward, the couple got engaged that November and postponed their September 2003 wedding to the following year, just days before their wedding. However, the two called off their engagement in January 2004.
Nevertheless, true love always finds its way back. Congratulations to the J-Lo and Ben!
