According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Whole Foods-branded salad dressing is recalled because of a label error. The mislabeling issue had undeclared allergens.Â
Van Law Food Products Inc. voluntarily recalled Whole Foods Market 365 Organic Creamy Caesar Dressing bottles because they may contain undeclared Soy and Wheat allergens.
The states affected by the recall include Whole Foods stores in Arkansas, Connecticut, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maine, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, New York, Texas, and New Hampshire. The bottles have a “best by” date of Nov. 17, 2022.Â
The main issue with the bottles is that they didn’t disclose if the bottles contained Soy or Wheat. If a consumer that’s allergic or has sensitivity towards soy or wheat, they can have a severe life-threatening reaction.Â
According to the recall, “Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in Van Law Food Product’s labeling and packaging processes.”Â
