The man behind several popular club hits, Atlanta rapper Cash Out has been indicted on rape and sex trafficking charges.
The 31-year-old is being accused of using his Pyrex Music Group to lure women into prostitution. The women were reportedly promised financial support and personal benefits, and positions within the company. Cash Out, whose real name is John Michael Hakeem Gibson, is said to have preyed on vulnerable women by pretending to care for them, only to force them into prostitution. He allegedly carried out his ring at a hotel room off Fulton Industrial Boulevard and at a home on Alfred Avenue NW.
His Instagram account showcases him in bed with multiple women and promoting a now-deleted OnlyFans link that allegedly showed clips of the prostitution taking place. While the rapper often flaunted wads of cash and talked about being a businessman, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis said that things were not all glitz and glam. Cash Out allegedly brutalized the women.
“He’s accused of whipping a young lady who’s a sex worker, and this was one of the girls that he had recruited,” Winfrey shared.
Cash Out rose to fame in 2012 with his hit record, “Cashin’ Out,” which went on to achieve platinum status. He dropped another popular tune, “She Twerkin,” in 2014, which was certified gold. Sadly, it appears he has not put his talents to good use in several years.
The former Epic Records star has been indicted on 13 counts, including rape, racketeering, sex trafficking, and aggravated sodomy. He has pleaded not guilty.
