Time and time again, Blue Ivy Carter reminds us that she’s the real star of the family. Tina Knowles-Lawson shares how her granddaughter helped her prepare for her recent acting role.
Tina was a recent guest on the Tamron Hall Show, where she credited Blue Ivy for getting her ready for the acting gig. Ms. Tina is starring in the upcoming Lifetime movie “Wrath: A Seven Deadly Sins Story.” She says she couldn’t find any help with the preparation because everyone was unavailable, even her actor/acting coach husband, Richard Lawson.
Tina then adds that she had no choice but to turn to her multi-talented granddaughter. She recalled Blue Ivy questioned her acting abilities whenever she would mess up a line.
“Grandma, I don’t know if this is for you,” Blue would ask. Tina responded, “Thank you, Blue, for making me really insecure.”
Tina says her granddaughter just wanted to make sure she was camera ready and wouldn’t mess up her lines. However, she adds that her co-star and former Destiny’s Child member, Michelle Williams, helped her get ready for the role too.
“Between the two of them, they coached you into perfection,” Tina says.
The Wrath: A Seven Deadly Sins Story will premiere on April 16th at 8 p.m ET on Lifetime.
