Tesla workers in Shanghai will reportedly have to eat and sleep in the company’s factory as part of a system that seeks to avoid business shutdowns.

Starting next Monday, Shanghai Tesla workers will be required to live, sleep and eat in the factory, as the company is jumpstarting production after three weeks of Tesla being shut down to lower the risk of spreading COVID-19.

The move is being called a “closed-loop system,” which includes Tesla providing workers with a sleeping bag, mattress, and an area on the factory floor where they will sleep. The system details were sent to works from Tesla in a memo, Yahoo! Finance reports.

The “closed-loop system” seems to directly respond to China’s “zero-tolerance” rule for curving the spread of the Coronavirus.

In addition to sleeping accommodations, Tesla says it will also be giving workers spaces for bathing, eating, and enjoying entertainment. Tesla will also be setting up stations for employees to be tested. Yahoo! Finance reports workers will be given $63 a day for food. However, the amount of money workers get will be based on how long they’ve been with the company, Bloomberg reports.

Workers will only get one day off during the seven-day week and will be expected to work 12 hours a day. Bloomberg reports that employees will live in the factory from next Monday to May 1.
