A Georgia woman has been arrested after she allegedly fired at least one shot at an elementary school bus with children inside.
A bus that was on its way to Riverside Elementary School in Suwanee, Georgia, was reportedly shot at by a woman Monday morning, according to WSB-TV 2 Atlanta. Police say there were children on board at the time of the shooting.
Reports from police say none of the children were harmed. However, the bus driver had scrapes on her hand, but there are no details on whether the injuries were connected to the shooting.
Celeste Michele Saunders, 57, of Suwanee was identified as the shooter. She was charged with four counts of first-degree cruelty to children, five counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and unauthorized discharge of a firearm near a public street.
“We are so grateful the GCPS staff and children on the bus arrived safely to school,” Laramie said, per WSB-TV 2 Atlanta.
