YG is officially off the hook for a robbery charge that has hung over his head for four years.

On Monday, the case was dismissed during jury selection, putting to bed a saga that began in Las Vegas in May 2018. The alleged incident occurred when YG supposedly stole a man’s chain at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The victim sued YG for $250,000, claiming that the “Go Loko” rapper ordered his entourage to attack him before snatching his diamond chain.

According to court documents, YG settled out of court with the victim, and the felony robbery charge against him was dropped. Sources close to the situation told TMZ that the victim was no longer cooperating with prosecutors in the criminal case. However, YG’s attorney Joe Tacopino is confident that the outcome would have been the same had the case gone to trial.

This legal win is just the latest for the 32-year-old. In January, the L.A. District Attorney’s Office declined to move forward with charges against YG for a separate 2020 case. In January of that year, YG was arrested at his home in connection to a robbery, though the D.A. says there was not enough evidence to proceed with charges.

“Justice was served expeditiously,” Tacopino stated.
