DaBaby caught wind of DaniLeigh‘s interview with Angie Martinez in which the singer reflected on her now-infamous Instagram Live fight with the rapper.
During the interview, DaniLeigh called the incident with DaBaby “very triggering,” saying it happened at a “very bad time” in her life.
Tuesday afternoon, the rapper, who shares an 8-month-old daughter with the singer hopped on Instagram to tell his side.
“I was gon respond a different way, but I gathered myself and I decided to respond this way,” DaBaby said in a video posted to his IG story. “Um, first of all, I feel like you waited too late. I told you back in December you should capitalize off the situation,” he continued. “I feel like that’s a bad move. It’s a green move for y’know, your label to have you drop the interview the same time you dropping a new song.” I feel like yall should have put that together better.”
DaBaby also alleged that before the incident between the rapper, his crew and DaniLeigh’s brother at the bowling alley, she was with him “at the London that whole week” “getting busy.”
He also claimed the real reason he put DaniLeigh out of his home was that she was stalking the mother of his oldest child.
The rapper said he owes the world no explanation and also alleged that she’s been affecting the relationship he has with his other children.
