Casanova pleaded guilty Wednesday to federal drug and racketeering charges, admitting to participating in an August 2018 robbery in New York City and July 2020 shooting in Florida. The rapper also admitted to conspiring to traffic marijuana while leading the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation Bloods gang.

The plea comes more than a year after Casanova and 17 others were indicted on federal gang charges. Casanova, whose given name is Caswell Senior, surrendered to authorities in late 2020.

Prosecutors allege the rapper led the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation Bloods gang and directed a conspiracy that spanned from New York to Florida.

He is now the 13th person indicted in the case to plead guilty.

“Like 12 of his co-defendants, Caswell Senior, an accomplished recording artist and performer, now stands convicted of playing a leadership role in Gorilla Stone, a particularly violent Bloods gang that operates throughout New York and across the country,” U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said. “In addition to his supervisory role, Senior was an active, hands-on participant in the gang’s senseless violence, including a shooting in Miami and contributing to a robbery at a Manhattan diner.”

The 35-year-old rapper faces 60 years in federal prison, with a mandatory minimum term of five years. He will be sentenced on December 6.
