Cleveland Cavaliers guard Rajon Rondo is facing some serious allegations after the mother of his children told authorities he pulled a gun on her and threatened to kill her.
Ashley Bachelor, the mother of the NBA player’s two kids, filed a protective order in Louisville last week after a heated altercation.
As reported by TMZ, Bachelor said Rondo was playing a video game on May 11 with their son when she asked the boy to separate laundry. That’s when Rondo became enraged and ripped the video game console out of the wall. Bachelor claimed Rondo then went on to break a teacup, outdoor lights, and trash cans before she tried to deescalate the situation. She says Rondo responded by making death threats, telling her — “you’re dead.”
The NBA player allegedly then left the home for 15 minutes and returned with a gun banging on a back window. Bachelor said she asked him to stop and Rondo yelled, “go get my fucking son.” She said she complied in fear and brought their son Pierre to the back door and that’s when Rondo yanked the kid outside with him and began screaming at him asking why he is afraid of his father.
Bachelor says Rondo called for their daughter and yelled at her for the same thing.
On May 13, Bachelor filed for a protective order telling a judge she fears for the safety of her and the children, telling a judge this isn’t the first time the NBA star has been abusive towards her and their children.
“I am extremely fearful for my safety and for the safety of my children. Rajon has a history of volatile, erratic, explosive behavior,” Bachelor said. “He is verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive. He physically hits our son and calls him names like ‘p—y’ and accuses him of acting like a ‘b–ch.’
“Rajon verbally assaults our daughter. He calls her names like ‘thot, b—h, and d–khead.’ Rajon has made several threats on my life, saying at various times he will shoot me or shoot up my car.”
A judge granted the protective order. At the time of press, Rondo has not been named a suspect of any crime.
