Coca-Cola Announces Their New Plastic Bottles That Comes With An Attached Cap

Coca-Cola is becoming more environmentally friendly with the release of its new plastic bottles.

Earlier this week, the beverage brand announced its newest version of the bottles. The plastic bottles include an attached cap designed to make recycling easier for consumers.

While the news is excellent, the improved bottles are only available in the United Kingdom. Coca-Cola is expected to roll out the new bottles in early 2024. The updated versions will include Coke, Coke Zero Sugar, Diet Coke, Fanta, Sprite, and Dr. Pepper.

“This is a small change that we hope will have a big impact. Ensuring that when consumers recycle our bottles, no cap gets left behind,” says Jon Woods, general manager at Coca-Cola Great Britain.

The change comes shortly after the European Union required caps to be attached to some plastic bottles.

To combat the environmental concerns, Coca-Cola created the World Without Waste initiative. The initiative detail plans to have better recycling habits with its consumers by 2030. They’re also planning to make all their cans and bottles with 50% recycled material and packaging 100% recyclable.
