A United Airlines employee at a Newark Airport was punched to the ground at the checkout desk after he hit a customer.

In the now-viral video, the two appear to be arguing, but it’s unclear how the argument began.

The uniformed worker is shown slapping the man in the face and that’s when the man begins throwing fists.
The employee then stumbles back into the equipment, striking his head, and falling onto the conveyor belt.
Before walking back, another employee tries to interfere, and another man tries to de-escalate the situation.
As commotion erupted in the terminal, airport personnel could be heard shouting “stop.”

The bloodied United Airlines employee is then seen wobbling to his feet to approach the man again.

The customer is heard saying: “You want some more? You want more?”

It’s unclear whether the employee in the video has faced any disciplinary action.

A United Airlines spokesperson said: “United Airlines does not tolerate violence of any kind at our airports or onboard our planes, and we are working with local authorities to further investigate this matter.”
