Benzino surrendered to authorities Monday after a warrant was issued for his arrest, AllHipHop reports.
The warrant stemmed from an altercation with his ex-girlfriend and son’s mother, Althea Heart, and her boyfriend. Heart’s boyfriend claims Benzino flew into a jealous rage and punched his truck.
Footage later emerged online showing cops talking to the couple about the altercation before arresting Benzino.
Prior to turning himself in, the “Love & Hip Hop” cast member spoke with AllHipHop about the altercation, saying, “I was kind of arguing with the guy she was with at the time,” he explained. “Long story short, the case was like two years ago and somebody put that old video up and it got me kind of arguing with him.”
Zino also revealed he was supposed to appear in a Zoom court appearance following the incident, however, missed the date after testing positive for covid-19.
AllHipHop captured footage of Zino turning himself in Monday afternoon.
