Louis Vuitton is launching a series of activations to honor Virgil Abloh’s remarkable impact on the luxury brand.

The Louis Vuitton and Nike “Air Force 1” by Virgil Abloh exhibition is currently on display in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The visual is located inside an expansive warehouse and will be open to the public until May 31, 2022.

The exhibit showcases the creativity between Nike and Louis Vuitton as envisioned by Abloh. The visual includes a hologram floor and sky-blue walls adorned with “LV” and “Virgil” spelled out in clouds. The inspiration behind the creative clouds stems from the Louis Vuitton Fall 2020 menswear show.

The exhibit features 47 editions of the Nike “Air Force 1” sneaker created in partnership with Nike for Louis Vuitton. The Air Force 1 sneakers are exhibited in motion on magnetized walls and in holographic displays animating the shoes.

In addition, attendees will be able to deconstruct the sneakers. This will allow fans to see the artistic layers of the shoe, from the sole to the uppers, through an interactive 3D station.

Several similar installations will take place in New York City. Fans will get a chance to experience the installations at Domino Park, Grand Central, South Street Seaport, Astor Place, Columbus Circle, Flatiron Plaza, and Gansevoort Plaza.

Later this year, Virgil’s exhibition, Figures of Speech, will also have a place in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Museum.
