J. Cole goes PRO..again! The iconic rapper has always had basketball skills, and this time he takes them to Ontario.

He incited many cheers from his pre-game workout to hit the court in his debut game for the Scarborough Shooting Stars. After the announcer said his name, the crowd wouldn’t stop cheering, and he received a long-standing ovation. “Entering the game… number 15, Jermaine Cole,” the announcer says.

Drake even tuned into the Canadian Elite League game, cheering on fellow friend and rapper J. Cole.

The six-foot-three guard came off the bench in Thursday night’s showcase against The Guelph Nighthawks. He finished with 3 points, 1 assist, and 1 rebound, playing 14 minutes.

Unfortunately, the Cole and the Stars took an L against the Nighthawks. The final score was 89-80.

Shooting Stars coach Chris Exilus spoke that tonight was a win for everyone regardless of the final score.

“Today was a great day for both (franchises) and a great day for the league. Cole did a great job and he played his heart out, and I think what he brings is also excitement, and he brings a certain fan base that we want to continue to see the game. I think all those things are great things for everybody.

Cole will not play every game of the season as he has a world tour, but the 37-year-old could gain massive potential for the team to make a lasting impact on the league.
