1017 Records artist, Ralo, was sentenced to 8 years in prison for trafficking marijuana.

In 2018, Ralo was arrested for trafficking over $2 million in marijuana. Since then, Ralo has been awaiting his fate in DeKalb County Jail.

On Wednesday, an Instagram said Ralo had just been sentenced to eight years in federal prison. However, there is some good news to compensate for the bad. Since Ralo had been sitting in jail for some time, the judge granted him some time served.

“The Judge sentenced Ralo to 8 years in Federal Prison,” the post said. “He was given over 4 years credit time served. The BOP has also credited him 1 & 1/2 year for good time.

It continued, “He was recommended 1 year ankle monitor after the halfway house approve his home address; which will bring him home to us late next year, but our goal is for him to complete his GED or RDAP Drug program so we can get another year off his sentence. That will bring him home to us in less than a year. We need prayer.”

In 2018, an affidavit was filed alleging that Ralo was the leader of the gang “Famerica.” The federal agents claim that the gang was responsible for smuggling less than $2 million worth of marijuana from California to Georgia. The “famgoon” gang made at least two trips cross country runs on charted flights.
Nevertheless, Ralo remains optimistic regarding his unfortunate situation. Last October, Ralo updated his fans on his current status and future.
“My judge scheduled my entire case to be over December,” he wrote on Instagram. “My lawyers asking for time served. I need letters an some good people that’s willing to come testify that they will help me stay on the right path while I’m on the 3 years probation. I also agreed to talk to the youth. Please tag good people that would do this an go to famericanews.com scroll down an click the link (Write Ralo Judge) #FreeRalo.”
