Jasmine Davis comes clean about what really happened with her exit on “The Chi” after fans noticed she was missing after the recent season.
Davis played a salon owner on the show and tweeted about her exit and leaving the “toxic environment,” describing her workplace. The actor has remained hush-hush on the topic but planned on spilling the beans on why she exited. However, the production crew is letting fans know what really happened.
Davis, 30, submitted a fake COVID vaccination card which led the company to open an investigation. An insider said, “Jasmine asked for a vaccination exemption when she submitted a vaccination card for the prior season. This triggered an investigation, and Jasmine then quit the show.”
The openly transgender actress announced her exit in April, ahead of the fifth season. She alluded that her departure was due to bullying and “personal happiness.”
She tweeted, “4 2 years i’ve been bullied 4 being on a show that was kind of a nightmare & the moment I clap back Instagram flag my comment as harassing them for trying to harass me on my page it’s unfair how they can come on my page and say whatever with no consequences.”
However, she retracted, telling Ebony that she probably does receive more love than hate.
“I was probably getting more love than hate, but the hate was so directed and so loud and in my face.” She added, “I’m glad that I am living my truth. I’m glad that I can inspire others to be whatever they want to be. I’m glad that I can represent my LGBTQ+ community and just my Black community in general.”
