A Disneyland Paris employee has drawn the ire of the internet after rudely interrupting a couple’s proposal at the park.
In the video originally posted to Reddit, a man dressed all in white drops to one knee on a platform with Sleeping Beauty Castle as the backdrop. The perfect proposal, right? As the crowd cheers the happy couple, a park employee runs between them, snatching the ring.
The employee proceeds to lead the disappointed and confused couple off of the platform. But according to the man, a female park employee gave him permission to use the platform. “She said yes,” he explains, pointing to the employee.
“Yes, that’s great, but over here will be even better,” the employee says as he points to a spot near a metal fence.
“We regret how this was handled,” a spokesperson for Disney told Newsweek.” We have apologized to the couple involved and offered to make it right.”
