It is a sad day in Atlanta. It has been reported that Metro Boomin’s mother has been killed at the hands of her boyfriend.
According to Hollywood Unlocked, the super producer’s mother, Leslie Wayne, was killed Saturday night. There have not been a lot of details released at this time.
Many celebs paid their respects to the producer and his family.
Juicy J tweeted, “Prayers up for Metro Boomin” and Dej Loaf tweeted, “Love + light to you @MetroBoomin.”
In a 2016 interview with Fader, the producer described his mother as his biggest supporter. “My name is Leland Tyler Wayne. My mom wanted to give me a name where, no matter what I wanted to do, I’d be able to do it. An astronaut. President. Whatever. Leland Wayne.”
In the same interview, Leslie talked about supporting her son in his music, especially since his father was not around. “I knew he was hurting so much, which is part of what made me support him so much in the music.”
