A Brooklyn man’s death is now being investigated as a homicide after he went unconscious after being attacked on the street.
Last week, two men robbed 61-year-old Victor Vega, who was walking down the street near his home on Lexington Avenue, Fox News reports. The entire incident was captured on camera. The video starts with the two men appearing to be very close to the victim. The Vega moves passed the men who carry on following him, looking at the older man as they walk beside him. There are no details on whether or not Vega knew the two suspects, Fox News reports.
The victim then seems to guide the two men with his arm, signaling them to walk ahead of him. Suddenly, one of the men pulls back and punches the old man, who immediately falls to the street.
The two suspects then rummage through Vega’s pockets for his belongings. Vega was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries five days later, on May 30. Fox News reports that Vega’s death has been ruled a homicide, and police are still looking for the two suspects.
