A Houston man who rapped about robbing ATMs in his music ended up getting arrested for robbing an ATM.
Ladesion Riley got caught up over the very crimes he rapped about on his YouTube page. In his song, “Make it Home,” which was made into a music video, Riley – who goes by the name “Jug God” – detailed how he steals from ATMs.
Fox News reports that after checking out of a motel in Dickson, Tennessee, Riley and three other suspects pulled the heist on a Bank of America ATM while it was being serviced. The incident took place on Monday; the four suspects came up from behind the ATM technician and told him “not do anything stupid and hand over the money,” according to police. The crew ended up taking off in a Hyundai Elantra that they rented from Hertz.
It didn’t take long for the suspects to get caught. That same day, detectives spotted the rental car outside a Motel 6. Police found the suspects with a stash of cash. Fox News reports two of the suspects were released on felony bonds.
