A Texas man allegedly looked up tactics to get away with murdering someone after a woman went missing.
Police arrested and questioned 28-year-old Houston resident Chukwuebuka Nwobodo on May 13 over the disappearance of 24-year-old Felicia Johnson.
Johnson went missing the morning of April 16 when she allegedly left the Intercontinental Hotel in Houston’s Medical Center. That morning she got in an Uber that was ordered for her. Nwobodo ended up being the person who picked her up, and he then took her to his apartment.
Grabbing trash bags, a flashlight and towels, Nwobodo was captured on the morning of April 16 and 17 picking a variety of different items, including a mechanical saw. At the time, he was seen with a bandage on his right hand. He claims he cut himself while opening boxes.
Things got even sketchier when investigators allegedly looked into his Google searches. Some of the things he searched were “Can bleach destroy DNA? And does vinegar destroy blood dna.” He also Googled “most forested part of Houston” the next day. A week later, he looked up the cheapest places to live in the world and how to delete history completely.”
During his arrest, authorities also searched his home and went through his phone, where they found photos of three dead people and “a photograph of a deceased dismembered female.” There was also blood that matched Johnson’s DNA in his home. Nwobodo has since been charged with murder and tampering with evidence, Complex reports.
