On Thursday, at least two people were killed and others were injured in a shooting at an Alabama church.
The incident occurred at the Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, at 6 p.m. local time. According to police Cpt. Shane Ware, three people were injured in all during the shooting.
ABC News reported that two individuals have died, and another is undergoing medical treatment at a local hospital.
Ware said he didn’t have any identifying information about the victims or the shooter during a press conference on Thursday night. However, he clarified that the suspect had been apprehended and that “no additional threat to the community” existed.
