A Disney World employee and 12 others face felony charges for allegedly soliciting children for sex online.
The thirteen suspects, between the ages of 20 and 67, are facing 49 felony charges. The charges were given out following a two-week-long undercover investigation called “Operation Child Protector II.”
The 30-year-old Disney World employee, Zachary Hudson, allegedly exchanged online messages with an undercover detective posing as a 15-year-old girl.
When the detective asked Hudson if he had an issue with her age, he replied, “as long as “my being older doesn’t bother you.” Authorities said Hudson later said, “age is just a number.”
Their conversation moved to text, where police say Hudson described the sexual acts he wanted to do to her. In addition, he also sent over a nude photo of himself.
“What would an operation be? Either a pornography investigation or predator operation or human trafficking operation without a Disney employee? We always have a Disney employee,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd says.
Hudson was arrested after authorities obtained a warrant. He was taken into custody possibly before or after his shift, as he was wearing his work uniform in his mugshot.
Hudson was charged with one count of using a two-way communication device to commit a felony and one count of transmitting material harmful to a minor.
