A video shows an airplane attempting to land at Miami International Airport before catching fire. Fortunately, only three were hurt, and the injuries were minor.
CNBC reports that the fire followed the collapse of that landing gear on a Red Air flight arriving from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Miami-Dade Aviation Department spokesman Greg Chin said in an email to The Associated Press.
The flight carried 126 people, and three of the people were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Other passengers were able to be bussed to a terminal safely following the hectic incident.
The police and firefighters acted quickly once the airplane landed and burst into flames and smoke. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue placed the fire under control and was able to mitigate fuel spillage.
