Kendrick Lamar took the center of the stage and put on one of the year’s best performances at the Glastonbury Festival. Lamar ended his set in support of women’s rights with a blood-soaked chant, “Godspeed Women’s Rights.”

The Tiffany & Co. crown that Lamar sported took ten months to make and has more than 8,000 encrusted diamonds.

On Monday, the Executive VP of Product and Communication at Tiffany detailed the thought that went into the piece and why Kendrick Lamar was chosen to wear it.

“Kendrick Lamar represents the artistry, risk-taking creativity, and relentless innovation that has also defined Tiffany & Co. for nearly two centuries.

The titanium design of the crown reportedly was cast using 14 individual components that were put together into a single final piece.

Lamar elaborated on what the crown means, representing “godly” when speaking to British Vogue. Not only does he wear the crown to perform, but it’s also the cover of his album, Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers.

The rapper was headlining the festival and performed “Savior” in addition to “Humble” and “N95.”
