Earlier this week we told you about Pittsburgh Steelers running backs Le’Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount being pulled over and arrested for possession of marijuana, and Bell for DUI since he was the driver.
“I didn’t know that you could get a DUI for being high,” says Bell per the officer, “I smoked two hours ago. I am not high anymore. I am perfectly fine. Why would I be getting high if I had to get on a plane to make it to my game?”
Le’Veon, same reason you would be smoking weed knowing it was on the NFL’s list of drugs not to do. Same reason you would be driving with weed in the car knowing you had to get on a plane and make it to your game. Le’Veon also told officers that the others in the car smoked “about a minute ago” which leads me to believe he was smoking right along with them. I highly doubt he turned it down when they passed it. Didn’t LeGarrette have to make the game too?
For the record, DUI stands for “driving under the influence” not “driving while drunk”. Yes you can get a DUI for driving while high.
