A Louisiana junior high school was the target of a vicious vandalism attack that caused thousands of dollars in damages.
On Sunday, police in Vidalia was called regarding vandalization at Vidalia Junior high. Upon arrival, officers were stunned to find nearly every classroom destroyed. Computers had been shattered, with some being thrown into water that flooded some of the classrooms. Desks had been tossed around, smart boards were smashed, and lewd messages littered the walls of some classrooms. Officers who responded to the scene say they have never experienced such extensive vandalism.
An Instagram account called @teachermisery shared screenshots of one Vidalia’s teacher’s social media post that detailed the damages done to the classrooms. Photos of the destruction showed a refrigerator lying on the floor surrounded by various destroyed equipment in one picture. Another shows spray paint on the walls and desks.

On Tuesday morning, community members volunteered at the school, cleaning up the mess within two hours. Authorities are still trying to determine the overall cost of the destruction.
Though police have not released the identities or ages of the children responsible, the post on @teachermisery said that an 8-year-old boy and two 10-year-old girls are responsible for the attack. They have since been given court dates, but it is unclear what they are being charged with.
