D.L. Hughley isn’t here for Mo’Nique’s recent apology.
The comedian was asked by TMZ what he thought about Mo’Nique’s apology for bringing up his wife and youngest daughter‘s sexual trauma.
When asked about his thoughts, Hughley did not acknowledge Mo’Nique and claimed he didn’t know her. “I don’t even know who you’re talking about,” said Hughley to the outlet. “I don’t even know who that is.”
Hughley also added that he had not heard nor seen her apology.
“I haven’t heard anything. I don’t listen to that. You only get so many breaths in your life, and I refuse to use one more one somebody like that.”
The feud between the two comedians came after Mo’Nique accused Hughley of a faulty contract. The two had a very public dispute, but Mo’Nique later apologized.
During her comedy show last month, Mo’Nique apologized to Hughley’s family for bringing up past trauma.
“I like to consider myself a woman of honor, so I’ve got to do something publicly that I did publicly, and when I f*ck something up, I’ve got to fix it up…to D.L. Hughley’s family, I want to publicly apologize if I hurt anyone’s feelings,” she said.
“I want to publicly apologize to his wife and his babies if I hurt [their] feelings. That was never my godd*mn intention. I never meant to hurt [their] feelings,” she continued. “But that n*gga D.L., I meant every motherf*cking thing I said!”
