Former basketball star Delonte West says he has trouble remembering his time playing in the NBA.
A video started circulating on social media after a YouTuber caught up with West on the street. During their conversation, the YouTuber asked about Dallas Mavericks’ owner, Mark Cuban, helping West with his mental health issues.
Cuban sent West to a rehab facility in 2020 to help get him back on a straight path. Despite completing the program, West says, “I’m just losing my thoughts, man. Sometimes I forget I even played basketball.”
West has been through a lot within these past years, but he remains grateful for where he is.
“God knows what he’s doing,” West said. “If any other thing would have happened differently, then me and you wouldn’t be sitting here talking.”
