Polo G's Attorney Calls Out Miami Police Department For Releasing Edited Video Of Rappers Arrest

Polo G’s attorney is calling out Miami police for redacting parts of the bodycam footage showing his 2021 arrest. Bradford Cohen told TMZ that the video released makes the rapper look like the bad guy.

“They didn’t show him getting slammed to the ground or the reason why he was pulled over. Of course, they wouldn’t show that,” Cohen told the outlet.

Instead, the video shows Polo G talking down to one of the arresting officers. But according to Cohen, that comes with the job. “…people are going to say things you are not going to like,” he said.

When the outlet contacted the Miami Police Department to question why only the “heavily redacted” footage was released, the department denied making the video public.

Cohen said the department has a leak if that’s the case. And he called releasing the edited footage “childish” and a reason why the public no longer trusts the police.

As for Polo’s case, some of the charges were dropped last November after the rapper enrolled in a pre-trial diversion program. Upon completing an anger management program, the rest of the charges were also set to be dropped.
