The legendary boxer George Foreman claims that two women are making up allegations against him in an attempt to extort millions of dollars.
According to reports, the two women are looking to file a lawsuit against the boxer in Los Angeles this week. Both women reportedly had fathers who had a friendship and professional relationship with Foreman for years.
Sources close to TMZ say the lawsuit is anticipated to include allegations that Foreman sexually assaulted the two women in the 70s. However, Foreman asserted in a statement released on Wednesday that the accusations are totally false.
“Over the past six months,” Foreman said, “two women have been trying to extort millions of dollars each from me and my family. They falsely claim that I sexually abused them over 45 years ago in the 1970s.”“I adamantly and categorically deny these allegations. The pride I take in my reputation means as much to me as my sports accomplishments, and I will not be intimidated by baseless threats and lies.”
According to Foreman, the suit and allegations are part of “a coordinated extortion plot” in which the women have been demanding $12.5 MILLION in payments since January.
“I am, and always will be, guided by my faith and trust in God,” Foreman said. “I will work with my lawyers to fully and truthfully expose my accusers’ scheme and defend myself in court. I don’t pick fights, but I don’t run away from them either.” Like this:
