Comedian Craig Robinson’s comedy show ended abruptly after an active shooter entered the venue.
On Saturday night, “The Office” star was evacuated from the Comedy Zone in Charlotte shortly after 9 pm. A male gunman entered the venue demanding that everyone leave the building before firing at least one round.
According to police, guests immediately exited the building, and thankfully there were no injuries.
Robinson was escorted to a Big Time Rush concert that was happening at the nearby Metro Credit Union Amphitheater. Robinson shared the news on Instagram while being surrounded by concert attendees.
“I’m safe,” Robinson said in the video. “I’m cool. It was wild. I was in the green room, and they’re like, ‘everybody get out.’ It was a moment for sure.”
The unidentified suspect was later placed into custody. However, the comedy show did not resume.
