Ricky Martin will be chatting virtually with a judge from Puerto Rico following claims from his 21-year-old nephew of their sexual relationship.
The singer still denies those claims and plans to testify that his relationship with his nephew wasn’t sexual, didn’t go on for seven months and that he didn’t harass or stalk him.
News broke last week that Ricky Martin’s nephew alleged he had a sexual relationship with his uncle and was getting a restraining order.
TMZ reported that the restraining order was “ex-parte,” meaning neither Ricky nor his team could refute the allegations. Instead, they must go to court when the judge decides if the restraining order should be extended.
Martin currently faces up to 50 years in prison if he is guilty of incest.
However, TMZ sources say there isn’t any suspicion for a criminal investigation, only civil right now.
Martin’s brother has defended him by agreeing with lawyers said the nephew battles with mental health illness with an online post.
