TikTok might be ready to launch its own music-streaming application.
Apple and Spotify might have some competition coming their way, as the popular social media and video-streaming application is rumored to be gearing up to have its own platform for music.
As we know, many of the hit songs we know and love today are sometimes getting their first round of plays on TikTok. Back in May, TikTok’s parent company ByteDance filed a trademark application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for “TikTok Music. The company also filed an application for “TikTok Music’ in Australia back in November.
In the filing, the company said users would be able to share, create, and suggest playlists, among other interactions related to music on the app. There are no confirmed, solid details on exactly what TikTok is shaking up but let’s just say, the app always seems to come with the ideas every other platform wants.
Will y’all be jammin’ on “TikTok Music”?
