Terica Williams, the Florida A&M University student who took naked graduation pictures on campus, said the university has yet to reach out to her regarding the recent investigation.
Williams went viral last week after sharing her graduation pictures on social media. In one of her photos, she poses fully nude in front of FAMU’s famous Rattler statue.
In response to FAMU announcing the investigation of the post and social media comments about her possibly not receiving her degree, Williams told Baller Alert the university has not reached out to her. “FAMU has put a hold on my account, but they have not contacted by phone or email,” she said.

Williams responded “No” when asked if a robe was worn to her photoshoot or if campus security was present. “I didn’t see an issue with my picture. I consider it a work of art,” she said.
While many Twitter users commented on how the picture was disrespectful to FAMU, others were curious about the inspiration for the photo. Williams explained the nude shoot derived from people “questioning her capabilities and intelligence” based on her choice of clothing. She also said the black Medusa idea came from FAMU’s rattler mascot.

Although many people claimed her photo was a publicity stunt to catapult her “rapping career,” Williams said that was not the case. “My dream is to work in the entertainment business; however, this was a graduation picture to celebrate my accomplishments,” she said.
With the photo under investigation by FAMU and receiving negative feedback from alumni and other HBCU grads, Williams continues to stand by her decision to keep the image live on social media. “I will not take the picture down. I think FAMU should replace the snake with a statue of me,” she stated.
Following the investigation, FAMU officials have placed full-time surveillance around the statue.
