Police in New Jersey is searching for a woman who was allegedly seen seemingly trying to escape from a semi-truck.
On Wednesday, at around 2 p.m., a witness says they saw a woman trying to jump out of a semi truck’s cabin while it was pulled over on Route 130. It was on its way toward the Ridge Road exit, according to South Brunswick Police said.
At the time, the witness was shopping at a car dealership at the time of the incident, NBC News reports. The woman reportedly looked like she was in distress and, at one point, was yelling for help, NBC News reports.
The witness said they could see the woman allegedly bleeding from her face, and then she was pulled “back into the cab.” Police said the victim was almost out of the truck before she was forced back in.
Surveillance footage shows a person who saw the woman walking towards the truck just before it quickly drove off. The suspect is described as an older white male who is bald with a white beard. The victim is said to either be a Hispanic or white woman in her 20s with long brown hair. The victim was wearing a brown flannel shirt.
The truck was a white Volvo trailer cab with blue letters on the side, NBC News reports.
