Vanessa Bryant Dispels Rumors That NBA Star DeMar DeRozen Is The Face Of Kobe’s Signature Sneaker Line

Vanessa Bryant isn’t here for the rumors of NBA player DeMar DeRozan being the new face of Kobe’s sneaker line.

On Monday, reports surfaced about DeRozan securing a new four-year deal with Nike to be the face of Kobe’s signature line. However, Vanessa caught wind of the rumors and quickly shut them down.

In a now-deleted Instagram comment, Vanessa responded to the news, “False. He is not the face of the Kobe Line. No one is.”

Sabrina Ionesco, WNBA All-Star guard and close friend to the family, replied to Vanessa’s comment, writing, “perioddddddd,” with a clapping hands emoji.

In a separate comment, Vanessa called the reports “misinformation.”

“LOVE that he’s a Kobe supporter, but the caption is false,” Vanessa said, referring to DeRozen. “It’s misinformation. Only Kobe is the face of his line. If that changes in the future, then I’m sure Nike and I will release a statement announcing it.”

In March, Vanessa announced that her late husband’s partnership with Nike would continue. The announcement came just a month after she severed the relationship with Nike.
