The ICU nurse who murdered six people in a catastrophic 100 mph crash, including a pregnant woman, her unborn child, and her one-year-old son, will be charged with murder and could face a 90-year sentence, Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón announced Monday.

37-year-old Nicole L. Linton is currently held at Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California, following her release from medical supervision. She will be charged with six counts of murder and five counts of gross vehicular manslaughter, Gascón said.

According to police, Linton slammed her car into five other vehicles while traveling at speeds of up to 100 mph by an intersection in Windsor Hills.

At the scene of the accident, 23-year-old Asherey Ryan, who was eight months pregnant, was pronounced dead along with her one-year-old son Alonzo Luchiano Quintero and her unborn baby boy.

Those close to the family reported that Reynold Lester, the unborn child’s father, died in the collision when the vehicle split in half on impact.

Asherey, Reynold, and little Alonzo were headed to the doctor for a prenatal checkup when the driver slammed into the vehicle they were riding in.

A witness to the collision, Tabia Johnson, captured Linton sitting down on a nearby sidewalk after the crash, with the flaming debris in the background.

According to Johnson, Linton appeared to have only sustained minor wounds, including blood close to the head, who criticized the woman’s driving.

According to one of Linton’s friends, she got in her car after being ‘drunk’ and ‘fighting’ with her boyfriend before crashing into traffic. However, the district attorney said there was no evidence Linton was intoxicated at the time of the accident.
