General Mills is bringing back four classic cereals from the 1980s.

Some original gangsta cereals from General Mills are coming back to the market, according to an announcement made by the company. For more than a decade, we haven’t seen Frute Brute Monster Cereal, Franken Berry, Count Chocula and Boo Berry, and now they’re making a comeback.

“For the first time in nearly a decade, Frute Brute is back with the limited-edition release of four @ kaws-designed Monsters Cereal boxes!” Said the company in an Instagram post with a photo of the cereals.

“Pick up a box and you could win a set of Monsters toys created by KAWS himself. Boxes are available now at retailers nationwide,” the post continued.

The return of the cereals is likely due to this feeling of nostalgia that comforts current generations.

“We’re seeing that consumers are drawn to tastes that remind them of their childhood and help elicit feelings of nostalgia and comfort,” said Tom Dixon, chief growth officer at Post Consumer Brands, during a conversation with Progressive Grocer in 2021, The Street reports.
